SUMMARY:Meet Condoleezza Rice
DESCRIPTION:Meet Dr. Condoleezza Rice \nLecture and Book Signing \nAuthor of Democracy: Stories from the Long Road to Freedom \nThe former Secretary of State and bestselling author makes her first appearance at the Nixon Library to discuss and sign copies of her next bestseller Democracy — a sweeping look at the global struggle for democracy and why America must continue to support the cause of human freedom. \nFrom the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union to the ongoing struggle for human rights in the Middle East\, Dr. Condoleezza Rice has served on the front lines of history. As a child\, she was an eyewitness to a third awakening of freedom\, when her hometown of Birmingham\, Alabama\, became the epicenter of the civil rights movement for black Americans. \nIn this book\, Rice explains what these epochal events teach us about democracy. At a time when people around the world are wondering whether democracy is in decline\, Dr. Rice shares insights from her experiences as a policymaker\, scholar\, and citizen\, in order to put democracy’s challenges into perspective. \nTickets Available for Live Simulcast

SUMMARY:Meet Bret Baier
DESCRIPTION:Lecture and Book Signing\nFox News Chief Political Anchor and Host of Special Report with Bret Baier \nAuthor of Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower’s Final Mission \nBret Baier illuminates the extraordinary yet underappreciated presidency of Dwight Eisenhower in his soon-to-be bestseller on Ike’s final days in office. \nHe masterfully casts the period between Eisenhower’s now-prophetic farewell address on the evening of January 17\, 1961\, and Kennedy’s inauguration on the afternoon of January 20 as the closing act of one of modern America’s greatest leaders — during which Eisenhower urgently sought to prepare both the country and the next president for the challenges ahead. \nBaier makes clear that Eisenhower\, an often forgotten giant of U.S. history\, still offers vital lessons for our own time and stands as a lasting example of political leadership at its most effective and honorable. \nBret’s show Special Report with Bret Baier (weeknights 6-7PM/ET)\, is the top-rated cable news program in its timeslot and consistently one of the top four shows in cable news. \nREGISTER HERE \nIf you are unable to attend\, click here to order autographed copies and we’ll ship the day after his appearance.
